At the outset, I take this opportunity to express my pleasure to associate myself with this premier Institute. In the wake of independence many divisive and fissiparous tendencies posed a serious challenge to the solidarity and integrity of our country. In this context, the role of Indian youths was indispensable. If their enthusiasm and energy had not properly been channelised, India’s freedom would have been at stake.
